These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] (“we”, “us”), which runs Nortl. By creating an account or using Nortl, you agree to them. If you use Nortl for a company, you agree for that company and confirm you may do so.

1. The service

Nortl is an online workspace for approvals, documents, data apps, chat and related tools. We may add, change or remove features over time. When a change takes away something important you pay for, we will tell you beforehand.

2. Your account

3. Your content

What you upload or write stays yours. You give us permission to store, copy, process and show it only as needed to run Nortl for you and the people you share it with: for example to make previews, generate PDFs, keep backups and send notifications. You confirm you have the right to upload it.

You can export your data from the tools that offer it, and you can ask us for a copy at any time.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use Nortl to:

We may remove content that breaks these rules, pause chat for an account, suspend it, or close it. We keep a record of such actions.

5. Public content and moderation

Content you choose to make public (for example topics, media and public profiles) is reviewed by an administrator before it is published, and changes to it are reviewed too. To keep people safe, chat messages that are edited or taken back are kept for administrators to review, and messages containing words on our safety list are flagged for review. Administrators read private conversations only to deal with a report or a safety concern, and each time they do, it is recorded with a reason.

6. Plans, payment and refunds

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Nortl available and your data safe, and we keep backups, but no online service can promise it will never be interrupted. We may pause the service for maintenance. We may update these terms; when the change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it applies.

8. Ending your account

You can stop using Nortl at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after a warning where that is reasonable. After an account is closed, we delete its data within a reasonable time, except what the law requires us to keep (such as invoices).

9. Liability

Nortl is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [Country whose law applies]. If we have a disagreement, please contact us first: most problems are sorted that way. Otherwise, the courts of [Country whose law applies] decide, unless the law where you live gives you the right to go to your local courts.
